„Muse. Inspiring the City.” – this motto is realized every day by one of the TOP clubs in China – the MUSE2. Seven days a week the clubbers are animated to dance wildly through the laser technics from Bocatec. The MUSE2 is crowded every night with more than 1300 guests – and Bocatec is right in the middle.

The MUSE clubs were founded by Hong Kong film star Carina Lau in 1994. In Los Angeles the first MUSE club was opened, since 2006 the party takes place in the MUSE2 inside the modern „Tong Le Fang“ complex in Shanghai. The MUSE2 is one of the first three best clubs in Shanghai. The famous location has two dance floors and is visited mainly by Chinese, Taiwanese and some Foreigners. The club mainly plays House and Hip-Hop, but also human Beat-Box-performances and dancers entertain the clubbers. Additionally concerts, fashion shows and private events take place.

The Party can start…
The breathtaking design is especially suited to the sophisticated and elegant party lovers of the area. Three Bocatec Piko14 RGB laser of the latest generation put the party floor of 1500 m² into right light. On a 4 meter wide fog screen above the dance floor is place for the projection of various films, pictures and logos. Thanks to the High-End 19“ PC systems with 17“ Touchscreen and the PHOENIX-Show controller the DJ has all lasers and the fog screen under control.

And for sure the next party will come:
The makers of the MUSE2 were thrilled how good the Bocatec installations completed the club atmosphere and cares for the special highlights of the evening. Bocatec was thus immediately engaged to care for great mood also in the other MUSE clubs. Because the Hamburg guys love to rock the lasers, they were very happy about this following order. Finally the MUSE clubs are the innovators in the club scene, their ideas and technics are imitated by other clubs often. Bocatec of course helps every club to attract more night owls. Because moths are drawn also to the laser light.

A very fascinating way of applying laser technics is the combination of the light beams with dancers. Suddenly the laser beam takes the center of a breathtaking show and becomes part itself of a surprising performance. This laser dance is so novel and seldom that every spectator is fascinated.

Dancing with the laser…
If laser and human are dancing together and influence each other, a symbiosis of the special kind develops. The laser can create rooms on the dance floor, build up walls and draw lines, where the dancer moves. A really impressive laser dance is also a product of a perfect choreography. The dancer has to move simultaneously to the music and the laser movements. For the illusion of complete control of the laser beam and the laser animations, the dancer has to touch and release the laser beam at the right time. Of course it’s also possible that the dancer deflects the laser beam with mirrors and creates new effects. Such a dance with the laser demands a lot dancing skills and full concentration. The laser intensifies or even emphasizes the movements of the dancer.

As a special highlight the laser dancers could be equipped with radio-DMX controlled hand lases in order to send out the beams themselves. Unique effects are possible.

If you are looking for an extraordinary dancing performance or if you envision a very special show act, a laser dance is our advice. The moves of live and laser in thrilling interaction haven’t been shown often in this form. For sure the dance with the laser is something new, that inspires and electrifies.

Infiniti presented its new models for the Chinese market on 29th of august 2013 in Chengdu. 250 „Top of the Top“ salesmen from China experienced the INFINITI night shortly before the car show. The superlative opening show started with an impressive 5 minute laser show by Bocatec and put the audience into best mood.

The Infiniti Motor Company Ltd. With its headquarters in Hong Kong was founded in 1989 in the USA by its Japanese parent company Nissan. The premium automobiles are successful in 50 countries especially in China and Russia. Within these premium cars crystalizes design, technology and performance of the future. Infiniti puts high attention to finesse and accuracy. Suiting this strategy Infiniti only works together with extremely powerful partners. The technical cooperation with the Formula1, the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team or extraordinary product presentations through artists of the Cirque du Soleil ® are two good examples. With Bocatec Infinity engaged then the laser expert from Hamburg.

And the countdown is on…
Just two weeks before the show Infiniti contacted Bocatec. Already next day Bocatec boss Boris Bollinger was sitting in the plane to Peking to talk with the customer about the details. With the words „Here you have the music – hurry up!” Infiniti confided the whole conception and creative works to Bocatec. 48 hours later – the bill was already paid – the preparation for the show was running. Another 4 days later 3 guys from Bocatec started (light designer, light technicians and laser technicians) and another 10 technical helpers on site started the 6-day installation for the whole light and laser show.

More than 60 spot moving heads and 40 washers had to be installed, 11 high-power lasers with more than 10-20W white light power each, 8 fog- and wind machines and 6 hazers were on board. The control was done by the PHOENIX Show control.  Parallel to the laser show videos of Infiniti were played on different screens which were synchronized via SMPTE-time code.

Clear the stage for…!
On Thursday evening around 19pm it was done. With enormous pressure of time and with artistic freedom a laser- and light show was created that almost stole the show from the Model series Q. Seven cars drove suiting to music and light on stage. The final did the Q50 on a street symbolized by laser beams that went far until the horizon. A nice reference to the Infiniti logo.

Feedback that anyone likes
„That was the best car presentation that our agency has ever seen!“ much better the feedback couldn’t have been after the show. But even better, the management of Infiniti liked the show so much that they congratulated Bocatec personally for the fantastic work. The management wanted to play the show again the week after on the trade show, but unfortunately there was no time left to install it there…some resources are thus not infinite. But the next order didn’t wait long. Inspired by the Infiniti show Buick-Cars from the USA engaged Bocatec. So in September Bocatec will present their cars in China.

From movies like Mission Impossible or Ocean’s Eleven you may know the exciting battle of the hero against a net of shiny red laser beams. The laser game surpasses everything that has gone before, because it is setting completely new challenges. Maze Mission is played against time and demands the full flexibility and ability of the gamer. Target of the game is to overcome the laser beams without touching them or to catch them. Hereby full body control is necessary. Instead of sitting with a joystick in front of a computer, the player himself moves through a real show-jumping course.

At the LEGOLAND in Berlin the interactive laser game Maze Mission is already running one year and attracts visitors. Interactive Lasergames is ready to revolutionize the game and leisure market worldwide with Maze Mission. No matter if fixed or mobile version, the laser game is great fun for the whole family. The game could contain several zones with different degrees of difficulty. These are adapted individually to the space conditions at the single location. No matter if it should be a short laser course or wide adventure landscape with laser technics.

How it looks like if one can really do it right:

Several video cameras broadcast the performance of each gamer on screens to the outside. Out there the other visitors can observe the gamer at every step. There’s always a lot of laughter because not everyone masters the laser beams as smart and elegant as Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. At a trade show some corpulent and brave gamer rolled underneath the beams through the game and caused great amusement at the audience. No wonder that small and big visitors love this fun game and form long queues in front of Maze Mission to test it themselves. Everybody wants to proof his speediness and smartness.

The network „Gamecity Hamburg“ initiated together with the energy company Vattenfall the worldwide biggest projection of the computer game PONG. Bocatec supported the bright projection on the surface of 700 m² of the game that was additionally streamed live. Two projectors, each with 15.000 ANSI Lumen power glamorized the sharp soft edge projection. The single pictures of the two beamers became then one big picture on the power plant facade thanks to a special video software. The beamers in outdoor housing projected from a 4m high layher rack onto the facade. Bocatec also cared for the internet connection via satellite and for the online access to the game. Two IP cameras provided the live picture of the projection.

During the days from 4th to 18th September 2013 the gigantic projection should take more attention on the site Hamburg-Wedel and the power plant, that will be brought on line in  2017. The new innovation power plant Wedel will start a new area of energy supply. In contrast PONG looks back on a time that was also the beginning of new times. The industry initiative Gamecity concentrates 140 companies from the gaming industry. They rose a lot attention for their industry and the energy and warmth producer Vattenfall with the creative event. TV and press reported about the unusual live projection, which has chances to get into the Guinness book of world records.

Under www.pong2013.de pong fans from around the globe can play the biggest pong competition online against each other, even after the projection. Have fun PONGING!

The speed of a music piece is measured in “beats per minute”. More than 60 “people per hour” passed the laser game „Maze Mission“ on the BPM trade show in Birmingham from 14th to 16th September 2013. The company Interactive Lasergames surprised and thrilled all visitors without exception with their innovative game. So the trade show organizers nominated the “best booth” of the BPM fair.

The BPM is UK wide the biggest event for event technics, DJing and music production. Since 2007 DJs, producers, artists, club owners and provides of event technics meet annually on over 8500 square meters in Birmingham. This year the show was bursting at the seams with 8000 visitors. The people came not only to network and to see the latest news, workshops, seminars, several live acts and parties through the night made the trade fair a real experience.

Maze Mission sets new trade show benchmark

The ultimate highlight of the BPM was offered by the Interactive Lasergames booth. At many booths the visitors could test and try the latest event technology themselves. But the Maze Mission booth demands full body effort. On 80 m² Interactive Lasergame put up its game Maze Mission to give a game experience of a special kind to the crowd. Every visitor was invited to enter the 30 m long and dark laser course through a huge tiger mouth.  In 3 different game zones 40 red, green and blue laser beams had to be overcome or catched. Some video cameras broadcasted the performance of each player on screens to the outside. The other waiting gamers and audience could thus observe every single step of the laser player inside. A big fun, because almost nobody is as smart and elegant around laser beams as Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Instead some sturdy and unfearful gamer just crawled below the beams. No wonder that small and big visitors love this fun game and form long queues in front of Maze Mission to test it themselves. Everybody wants to proof his speediness and smartness.

Maze Mission on tour
Such an overwhelming enthusiasm could Interactive Lasergames hardly imagine before the trade show. And it became even better: The organization team of the partner trade show in Paris invited Maze Mission to come to their show in 2014. Interactive Lasergames will present the game there for free and thrill the visitors for sure.

The international automobile exhibition IAA in Frankfurt am Main is year after year the mega event of the industry. The producers outperform each other by presenting their latest models on the innovative trade show booth with dazzling presentation techniques. This year Bocatec assisted the big press conference from Audi on the 10th September and put the new models with a laser show on stage.

Audi did not just only book a simple trade show booth on the IAA, but build a huge separate 3.400 square meter trade fair hall on the area. The motto: „Audi turns the IAA upside down“ was here realized through a specular trade show construction and design. Inside the Audi hall a whole city grew from the ceiling. „This unique building invites you to look at the conditions for urban mobility from a different and unusual point of view“, explained Audi the architecture.

At 9 am in the morning the 20 minute press conference started with 1500 guests. The hanging city was illuminated suspense-packed with complex beamer projections. The complete show with video screens, light, sound and live acts was then professionally clocked. Bocatec supported the wow-effect with 20 lasers and 16 fog machines. Audi presented for the first time its A8 with matrix LED lights, the new A3 cabriolet as well as the show cars Audi Sport Quattro concept and Audi Nanuk Quattro concept. The show was broadcasted live around the globe and online. After this impressive start 800.000 visitors came to the Audi hall on the IAA. Bocatec was happy to take part in this mega event.

General Motors presented the new models of the Buick brand to the Chinese market on the 28th September 2013. Directly on the coast of the megacity Qingdao Bocatec cared for a fulminant kick-off of the car presentation with a laser show with harbor view.

Buick war already founded in 1903 by David Dunbar Buick in Michigan as an independent car brand. William Durant, who founded General Motors in 1908, took over the brand in 1904. Until the 70ies Buick was very successful inside the USA. In Qingdao Buick now presented the new medium class models of the series Regal and Regal GS. Therefor Buick invited more than 600 customers to a big open air show on the vestibule of the former Olympic station. Meanwhile in China the brand Buick is quite famous, every place in front of the self-constructed stage was taken.

A+ car laser show becomes talk of the town
Inspired by the car show in Chengdu, where Bocatec made a strong presentation for the brand INFINITI, the Buick people engaged the team from Hamburg for the laser show in Qingdao. The former German colony and coastal metropolis is well known for its beer. Bocatec boss – Boris Bollinger – felt like home and also the collaboration with the technicians on site worked perfectly well.

That’s what is behind

3 Bocatec guys (light designers, light technicians and laser technicians) and other ten technical guys on site did the 6-day build-up for the whole light and laser show. More than 60 spot-moving heads and 40 washers had to be installed, 11 high-power lasers each with more than 10-20W white light power, 8 fog and wind machines and 6 hazers were used. The control was done by the PHOENIX show controller.  Parallel to the laser show there were videos from Buick run on different screens, synchronized via SMPTE-time code. In only 2 weeks a 5 minute laser- and light show was ready that almost stole the show from the new model row Regal.

Weather capers and good luck
After it dad rained the whole afternoon and the stage was under water until shortly before the show, on Saturday evening at 19pm everything was perfectly ready. The rain went away and the Buick cars drove as stars of the evening on the stage. The new models drove harmonized with the music and light under a sea of laser beams onto the stage.

After the laser show is before the laser show
The customers were very delighted by the Bocatec performance and the tip-top laser show and fully satisfied about the evening. Further car presentations are surely realized by Bocatec as partner. Parallel our expertise for fulminant car shows got around, so that Bocatec will beam the lasers again already in November for the high-performance brand Mercedes AMG.
